5 He set the grate in place below the top edge of the altar, so that the grate rested halfway down from the top of the altar.[a] 6 He made poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with bronze. 7 He put these poles through the rings on two sides of the altar for carrying it. He made the altar hollow. Its sides were made of boards.
